The new Correctional Work Center is open on South Church Street, behind the old County Workhouse…which was built sometime in the early 1940’s. The 87-thousand square foot facility, which along with the new Juvenile Justice Center, cost 23-million dollars. It will serve as a minimum-security facility for inmates who are allowed to work outside of the property.
