Bad accident on Highway 99 involving bike

On the New Salem Highway between River Rock Blvd. and Cason Lane, a serious accident was reported on Thursday afternoon. A man riding a bicycle was stuck by a truck. The man on the bike was attempting to cross New Salem Highway otherwise known as Highway 99.

The truck that struck the victim was traveling at less then 25-miles per hour. The man refused to be transported by Life Flight Helicopter but was treated at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. No word on the extent of the bicycle riders injuries.
