Fireworks, Church Growing, Airplanes at City Council Meeting
The Murfreesboro City Council will meet this evening at 7 in the City Hall. According to tonight’s agenda, the city will review request from World Outreach Church to acquire several right of way’s to make room for growth. Letters from the multiple utility companies in the area of expansion show that no homeowners or city residents will be adversely affected by the move.
The city of Murfreesboro will also look at increasing fees charged at the Murfreesboro Airport. Some of the fee increases include the rate charged to plane owners who use the outdoor tie-downs each month. The current monthly rate is $45, the increase rings in at an additional $2-per month. When compared to other airports like the one in Shelbyville on 231 South, the Murfreesboro rate is higher. In Shelbyville, it’s free to tie your plane down each month.
Councilmen will also revisit the city’s ordinance on banning fireworks. Again, the meeting begins tonight at 7.
