Bicyclist Hurt in an Accident

A bicyclist was involved in a traffic crash on New Salem Highway.  It happened around 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon.  The cyclist - who suffered from head trauma - was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center after refusing to go to Vanderbilt, after Lifeflight landed.  Police reports indicate the unidentified 26-year old man was attempted to cross when he was hit by a truck, traveling about 15 miles per hour.  The driver of the truck was no injured.
